We're back

Many of you have asked, why did I stop getting your blog? Did you take me off your list? Are you still alive or did you freeze last winter?... We are alive, well, and warm (topping records of 100 degrees! They dont know what that is). We have been under construction for way to long. Construction that disabled us to post pictures and email from the same computer.

Most of the construction is done, the kitchen is finished. We capped off a two story living room to make another bedroom upstairs, move the laundry room upstairs to create a mud room (something that we found was really important), and finished the basement for my mom. So all we have let are all those annoying odds and ends that no one wants to do.

Since it has been so long, it would be impossible to share all that has happened in our little family so I will share the happiest and saddest of times.

Happiest: Visitors, finalizing Connor's adoption (yes it is spelled differently than before.. another story), celebrating our 12 year anniversary on a surprise cruise with the Alhquists and Holmes, with an additional trip to Sac to welcome Leif Mathison into the world, Clarks mission trip to Kenya, family camp, and whenever my mom is in town!

Saddest: Pastor Daniel resigning from Grace Church to take on a national ministry of calling pastors to renewal and revival. He is an incredible Pastor. We now have to share him with the rest of the world. Words that come to mind when we think of Daniel Henderson: prayer, integrity, passion, grace, humility, vision and love. He was the main reason that we moved out here, but we know that God can multi-task in His Ways. So Clark is preaching for the summer until they are able to find a preaching pastor while we search for a Senior Pastor. We have had several people approach us and ask if Clark would become Senior Pastor, which we always answer with a resounding NO! The Church is a great place with a lot of great people who desire to seek hard after Jesus. Pastor Daniel has taught us well, but if it comes to mind please pray for the search for a new Pastor.

Other sad moments are those when we realize how far you are all away from us. There is something to be said about being known and having history with people. We have met some really neat people, but that is exactly what is missing, history, memories, hard times shared, laughing, living life together. We love and miss you all. We promise to stay up to date now!
